What counts as movement? And what if I only have a few minutes?
Anything that moves you. Meadow never tells you how to move. It makes the movement you already love finally count.
Things people log in Meadow
- A walk, including the walk to the shops or the long way home
- Stretching, yoga, tai chi, a mobility routine
- Swimming, cycling, a jog
- Gardening, housework that gets you moving, carrying the shopping
- Dancing in the kitchen
- Playing with kids or the dog
- A proper workout, if that’s your thing
There’s no exercise content in Meadow and no workouts to follow. It’s not a fitness app. It’s a feeling-better app.
How to log it
You can use the timer while you move, or add a session afterwards. Both count exactly the same. A session you logged from memory grows the same flower as one you timed.
When you only have a few minutes
They count. On days you tell Meadow your energy is low, it suggests less, and it means it. Ten gentle minutes is a win. Even ninety seconds keeps your meadow growing.
The bar is deliberately on the floor, because the days you have the least are the days the habit matters most. Something is better than nothing, every time.
When you do more than one thing
Each session you log grows its own flower, so a morning walk and an evening stretch on the same day give you two flowers. Your day count still goes up by one, because it counts days, not flowers.
