What that means in practice

  • Everything you log (moods, movement, little things, wins, notes) is stored on your iPhone.
  • We don’t have a server that holds a copy. We can’t see your meadow, and neither can anyone else.
  • The app works with no signal at all. Log a walk in the hills and it’s saved.
  • Your mood is recorded as words, never as a number or a score.

iCloud sync

Meadow can keep a copy of your meadow in your own iCloud so it’s the same on every device you sign into, and so it survives a lost or replaced phone. This uses Apple’s iCloud, under your Apple Account. We never see it. You can turn it off in the app’s settings or in your iPhone’s iCloud settings.

What we do collect

Two small things, both anonymous:

  • Subscription status, so the app knows what you’ve paid for. This goes through Apple and a subscription service, and it’s tied to a random ID, not to your name.
  • Basic usage, like which screens are opened and whether the app crashed, so we can fix bugs. Never your moods, movement or notes. You can turn this off in the app’s settings.

Deleting your data

Delete the app and your meadow on that phone is gone. If iCloud sync was on, also remove Meadow’s data in your iPhone Settings under iCloud storage. There’s no account to close, because there was never one.

Our full privacy policy is written in plain English.
