Installing Meadow through TestFlight
TestFlight is Apple's app for trying apps before they reach the App Store. If you've been accepted as a tester, this is how to install Meadow and send us feedback.
1. Install TestFlight
Search for TestFlight on the App Store and install it. It’s made by Apple and it’s free. TestFlight is iPhone and iPad only, and Meadow is built for iPhone.
2. Open your invite
We email an invite to the address on your application. Open that email on your iPhone and tap the link. TestFlight opens, shows you Meadow, and you tap Install. From then on Meadow sits on your home screen like any other app.
3. Keep it updated
We release a new build every day or two. TestFlight will tell you when one is ready, and you update from inside TestFlight.
Please update when you see one. It saves you reporting something we fixed yesterday.
Sending feedback
Three ways, in order of how fast they are:
- Take a screenshot while you’re in Meadow. TestFlight offers to send it to us with a note attached. This is the quickest route, and it tells us which screen you were on.
- Open TestFlight, tap Meadow, then Send Feedback.
- Email support@growyourmeadow.com.
What’s worth telling us
Anything that crashes, anything that looks wrong, anything you expected to be there and wasn’t, and anything that made you stop and think. Small things count. “The button was where I didn’t expect it” is useful feedback.
The most useful reports say what you were doing, what you expected, and what happened instead.
When testing ends
TestFlight builds expire after 90 days, which is Apple’s rule rather than ours. Long before that, Meadow will be on the App Store and you’ll install the public version from there. We’ll email everyone testing about what happens to the meadow you grew before that changeover.
